Benefits of Vitamin D
It is well-known that Vitamin D helps the body to absorb calcium, resulting in stronger bones which reduces the risk of fractures and osteoporosis. Vitamin D is well known for the prevention of rickets. However, a number of recent medical studies have shown that Vitamin D appears to do much more. Results from early studies suggest that vitamin D may also be effective in reducing the risk of, or even protecting against, a number of diseases/conditions such as:
